राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (एनआईए) ने गुरुवार को प्रतिबंधित संगठन सीपीआई माओवादी को समर्थन देने, उनकी मदद करने के आरोप में कई जगह छापेमारी की। एनआईए ने इस संबंध में हैदराबाद में 14 ठिकानों और आंध्र प्रदेश के प्रकाशम और विशाखापट्टनम जिलों में भी रेड की। ये छापेमारी महाराष्ट्र के गढ़चिरौली में हाल ही में नक्सलियों के साथ हुए एनकाउंटर के बाद की गई है।

आंध्र प्रदेश पुलिस के एक अधिकारी मुताबिक, एनआईए के पास गढ़चिरौली में हुई मुठभेड़ के बाद से ही पुख्ता जानकारी थी। इस एनकाउंटर में पुलिस ने 27 माओवादियों को मार गिराया गया था। यह छापेमारी सुबब 5 बजे शुरू हुई थी।

एनआईए ने सबसे पहले प्रकाशम जिले में कवि और विप्लव रचयितला संघम के नेता जी कल्याण राव के घर पर छापेमारी की। एनआईए ने कल्याण राव के पास से माओवादी पार्टी समर्थक कुछ साहित्य भी जब्त किया है।

कल्याण राव माओवादी पार्टी की सेंट्रल कमेटी के सदस्य अक्कीराजू हरगोपाल उर्फ रामकृष्ण के भी करीबी हैं। अक्कीराजू की इसी साल 14 अक्टूबर को छत्तीसगढ़ के जंगल में किडनी संबंधी बीमारी की वजह से मौत हो गई थी।

रामकृष्ण की शआदी कल्याण राव की साली से हुई थी और दोनों ने आंध्र प्रदेश सरकार के साथ साल 2004 में हुई माओवादी पार्टी की वार्ता में हिस्सा लिया था। एनआईए अधिकारियों ने वकील और महिला संघ की नेता अन्नपूर्णा के घर पर भी छापेमारी की।

हैदराबाद में एनआई ने अमरुला बंधु मित्रूला संघम की अध्यक्ष पद्मा कुमारी और सुभाष नगर इलाके की सचिव भवानी के आवास पर भी छापेमारी की। एनआईए की ओर से छह पूर्व माओवादियों के घर पर भी छापेमारी हुई। इनमें नारला रवि शर्मा भी शामिल है।
